Ann Whittaker: Charity starts at home for long serving employee
When Ann Whittaker was presented with the NHS Long Service Award for her 27 years’ employment with the NHS Trust she very kindly decided to donate her £50 prize money to the WISHH Charity.
1st November 2016
Ann started her NHS career in 1989 as a secretary and has since filled a variety of roles on both the medical and non-clinical sides of the trust.
She currently works in governance and firmly believes that charity begins at home, and as the NHS has been her home for the past 27 years she felt she wanted to give something back.
By donating to WISHH, Ann can be confident that her money will be put to the best possible use as those who give to the charity can either choose how their donations are spent or leave it to the charity’s trustees to decide. The WISHH Charity was the perfect option for Ann, who says she doesn’t mind what her money is spent on as long as it is used to help those in need and improve patient welfare.
