WISHH Baby Loss Appeal
Following the launch of our £100,000 Baby Loss Appeal to enhance bereavement facilities across Hull Women and Children’s Hospital. The appeal received a boost over the festive period thanks to customers and staff at NuStock Hull, who generously donated £2,200.  Funds were also raised from festive events and individual donations. To date the appeal has raised £18,000 and we need to YOUR help towards reaching our fundraising target.  The appeal will see the complete refurbishment of the bereavement suite, used by in excess of 100 families each year, enabling them to make precious memories with their baby in a peaceful and tranquil area. Funds raised will also improve six quiet rooms and improve the entrance and exit to the early pregnancy unit, to reduce the number of encounters families have with other expectant parents and new born babies.

We would love to hear from you if you would like to support this appeal in anyway, from making a donation, organising your own fundraiser, taking part in one of our events, to hosting one of our collection pots. Please contact Lisa Whitton, WISHH Charity Manager lisa.whitton3@nhs.net or call us on 01482 622299.

We love sharing our Happy News. We’ve had the pleasure of working alongside some incredible and inspirational fundraisers who have chosen to support our hospitals. From the Dialysis Unit who got into the festive spirit raising £900 to support our Baby Loss Appeal, Skirlaugh Young Farmers who held numerous fundraising events including a Tractor Run and Annual Dinner raising over £2,000 for the Stoke Unit. Catering 4 Construction raised £2,400 for distraction items and toys for Children’s wards and included a donation towards our Baby Loss Appeal. Conor and Jason took part in an Ultra White Collar Boxing Event to support WISHH and Children’s Accident and Emergency raising £881 and £400 respectively. Margaret also braved the shave in memory of her friend Julie to support the Queen’s Centre. Thank you all for your incredible support.

Our community came together to support both young and old receiving care across Hull Hospitals this Christmas through our WISHH National Elf Service Appeal. Including the 22 new recruits of Humberside Fire and Rescue Service’s Training section, local businesses, Alec and Lindsey also supported the appeal. The appeal enabled delivery of hundreds of gifts bringing smiles to the faces of patients this Christmas. A HUGE thank you to everyone who supported.
