Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation has donated £1400.00 to the WISHH Charity as part of its support for charities across the UK.

WISHH received the donation from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation after being nominated by Ellie Beaulah a Customer Consultant at the Society’s Beverley Branch.

The £1,400 donation to the WISHH Charity will be used to fund new equipment needed in different departments such as Dermatology, Speech Therapy and Paediatrics’ in the Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital.

Kim Eldridge, manager of Yorkshire Building Society in Beverley, said: “We are proud to be able to support the WISHH Charity in our community in Beverley and East Yorkshire with a donation from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation. The work that they are doing to support Hull Hospitals is providing a real difference and will help a broad spectrum of patients.”

Lisa Whitton, Manager of the WISHH Charity, said: “We would like to sincerely thank the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation for your kind donation of £1,400, which will enable us to enhance the care of patients across both Hull Royal Infirmary and Castle Hill Hospital.  Enabling us to invest in additional equipment to support the delivery of speech therapy with new teaching aids; skin cancer diagnosis equipment and sensory items for the Eye Hospital.  This funding will make a real difference to patients of all ages across both hospitals.”

Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation is funded through the Small Change Big Difference^® scheme where members donate the pennies from the interest on their accounts just once a year to help smaller charities around the UK.

In 2020, the Charitable Foundation donated £419,915 to 359 registered charities nominated by members and colleagues from around the UK.
