Info

The Breast Care Unit

The Breast Care Unit based at Castle Hill Hospital and cares for patients across the region, providing a range of services from breast care, screening and much more.

It’s never too early to start planning… Breast Cancer Awareness Month is an annual campaign every October, to raise awareness about breast cancer, promote early detection, and support those affected with Breast Cancer.

The month aims to:

Raise Awareness: Educate the public about breast cancer, its risk factors, symptoms, and the importance of early detection.

Encourage Screening: Promote routine mammograms and self-exams as crucial tools for early diagnosis.

Support Survivors: Honour and support breast cancer survivors and those currently fighting breast cancer.

Fund Research: Raise funds for breast cancer research, treatment, and prevention.

You can help us enhance the service provided locally by the Breast Care Team, helping us to improve facilities, advanced equipment and services, by taking part in your own fundraising events from tea parties, bake sales, and a whole host of other activities. Visit our A-Z of fundraising ideas for further inspiration.

You may event decide to take part in one of our WISHH events to support the unit prior to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
