Wave of Light
Baby Loss Awareness week culminates on 15th October with the Wave of Light, where people around the world light a candle or shine a light at 7pm, or buildings are lit to honour babies who have passed. #WaveOfLight.

History
Baby Loss Awareness Week originated in the UK in 2002, initiated by a group of baby loss charities, including Sands (Stillbirth and Neonatal Death Society). Over the years, it has gained global recognition.

The week helps break the silence and encourages open conversations about grief and loss.  It brings attention to the emotional and psychological impact on parents and families, advocating for better care and understanding.
