You Are Invited to Be Part of the Biggest Thank You Ever
This Sunday marks the 72nd anniversary of the NHS in a year none of us will ever forget. As part of a national campaign led by NHS Charities Together, we are encouraging everyone across our area to come together at 5pm on the 5th July for one last round of applause to not only thank the NHS staff but all of the incredible key workers, fantastic neighbours, fundraisers and all of those who are helping to get us through one of the most challenging years in the history of our hospitals.
30th June 2020
We are encouraging members of our community, businesses, volunteers and families to mark this day and bring people together at a safe distance to say thank you to all those who are helping us all through the COVID-19 crisis.
Throughout the week, it also gives us at WISHH an opportunity for us to thank all the incredible members of our communities, local businesses, voluntary groups, fundraisers, for their incredible support and generosity kindly given to Hull University Teaching Hospitals and its staff.
Chairman of the WISHH Charity, Sue Lockwood said, “The support our charity has received to help make a difference to staff caring for patients at Hull Hospitals throughout the Covid-19 crisis has been nothing short of phenomenal, and we thank each and every person for their kind donations made to our WISHH Covid-19 Appeal. These generous donations have helped us support the hospital staff, by enabling us to provide welfare packs and much needed improvements to staff areas to support the health and wellbeing of staff delivering round the clock care to patients. We also thank everyone for the donations in kind made to hospital staff which has given everyone a real boost.”
If you would like to join us and be part of this nationwide thank you at 5pm on the 5th July in a huge show of appreciation for everyone who has kept the UK going, RSVP here and the team at NHS Charities Together who have kindly supported our hospitals will send you your exclusive The Biggest Thank you printable pack, full of exclusive posters, celebrity recipes, thank you cards, decorations and more, direct to your inbox!
It’s a moment to raise a glass (or cup of tea) for our NHS staff, local volunteers, vital keyworkers or someone who has just been there for you. And after we’ve all clapped, cheered and woo-hoo’d, the plan is to stick around for a little bit longer – to spend some time with your friends and neighbours at a safe distance, of course.
Are you in? Then RSVP now and we’ll see you all on Sunday 5th July for our final round of applause!
Thank you all once again for your incredible support from the WISHH Charity and Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
